Sail Away

This painting was a study in observation. I learned water painting techniques on a painting retreat led by one of my most favorite watercolor artists, Julia Barminova. 

This painting was based off of one of her many reference photos on her Patreon site - an excellent source of detailed instructions on how to sharpen one's skills in painting water with watercolors.
